old crop corn and soybeans

Next summer's targets......$11.11 soybeans and $3.59 corn.

Will I get these prices in southern MN?

Red JMO but I think you`ll get $3.59 corn sooner than +$11 cash beans.  Especially if everyone plants more beans, but it`s weather weather weather.

Re: old crop corn and soybeans

well, I can probably live with $3.75 corn and $10.25 beans just fine, too,

but with the bean demand and the mountain of corn out there, I am thinking

the old 2.7 ratio will get thrown out for the duration of the old crop market and

I will need to get my dollars from higher priced soybeans.

Had a second in a lifetime corn crop here...the previous one was back in the 90's

if my memory serves me right. Still have probably 5000 bushels left in wet spots

after filling bin after bin, and renting some others.

Fields averaging over 200 bpa even with 10% drowned out spots and the wet areas

around the drowned out spots. Amazing yields that make up for the sub par soybean

yields. ( which even were pretty good, considering the harvested acres instead of

whole field averages.)

Some are saying that this bean rally is China making sure their coffers are full before a trade war with Trump, then they are better set up not importing beans to artifically punish us in the future, that`s pretty obvious and could be right.  But I think there`s more demand on both corn and beans than the prices would indicate, however there`s so much that small rallies shake loose enough bushels.  Add to that farmers needing money.
