Re: snatching defeat from the jaws of victory

A great game, I didn`t care one way or other, but just when you thought it was over...it wasn`t   🙂

I was thinking that with the inflategate drama, football is starting to resemble pro-wrestling, then with the fist fight, all is missing is throwing folding chairs.

The winners were the merchants with over priced goods a nd the players with big salaries to play the kids game. Losers were all the spectators that paid for the goods and entry fee to see the game.

Seattle player: Oh, my team lost? Well, time to file my taxes!

Re: snatching defeat from the jaws of victory

I enjoyed the game. I really didn't care who won but probably leaned toward the non-cheaters.

I though the seattle defense was awesome and the best team didn't win. Imagine that? Well that is what makes a championship game worthy of attention. Two excellent teams playing the best they can. defeating the best there is makes the victory a greater prize.

Of course seattle decision to do a pass play with one yard to go a stupid exercise unless you consider doing the unexpected a good strategy. If the pass had been successful one would have marveled at the offensive coordinators wisdom. However Seattle was quite capable of running the ball at will. It was the patriots who runing game was pretty well shut down. The reason Richard Sherman was not involved much was because Brady was targeting the passes away from Shermans as much as possible.

Re: snatching defeat from the jaws of victory

A better game than usual for a SBowl.

I noticed several commercials were network promotions of the show scheduled after the game or the shows in the network lineup.

Enough that I got to wondering if it is getting hard to sell the overpriced advertising slots.

Game was great ------ national anthym was an endurance test ------- and Katy P is my new favorite "screamer"..... 🙂

Interesting show for the most part

Great "Pre national anthym anthym"  America the beautiful with a few great photo shots of the Grand Canyon.

Yep------ your right our new "WWNFL"

Commercials......

How sick are we when cell phone games are the big spenders for ad time. and in that $40 mil. Game of War budget---- can't we come up with a more interesting idea----- teaching our kids to kill something is our only idea ...?

But otherwise some good advertisements with some good underlying messages...

Odd to watch a football game without the remote in hand.

Ending was a second guessers dream.  What a play by a rookie!!

Well coached & prepared.

Some good commercials but none outstanding in my book.

The one I find distasteful is the lady running ahead of the pack thru the woods after they hear a bear.

You hear a man scream in the background and we all know what that's supposed to mean.

And this is an ad for the "Young Men's Christian Assciation" (YMCA)!?!?!

Isc76cat,

Right on the YMCA thing.....

I gotta ask, is that new avatar photo a relative of Betty White???  Or a picture of a Wichita State BB player leaving the court at Northern Iowa??

Was a good game.  And a ........ great discussion starting shocker ending.
