supplying demand

Recent events remind the important of being mindful of the role
we are to fill. A producer going long, no short no using harmonic magic etc, is
cashing his tale and loses.

A wheat  producer with
physical length can sell 10% on a Egyptian sale news, at 15 cents up, helping
fill their need. Egypt
is a poor country, not savvy, (Palouser) help yhem out by supplying.

US
debt gets downgraded to AA fm AAA, what has changed > essentially nothing
except the action gives political cover to fiscal conservatives trying to do the
right thing vs. Obama’s wrong things. Net the downgrade is a BIG positive.

But emotional  eurolanders freak out & buy Swiss at up to
a record high of 1.32. Did you even look at Swiss bank balance sheets? At Swiss
GDP (essentially its charge 3% mgmt for drug money), cheese is close to zero as
a % of the economy. But, Mr. eurlander you want Swiss not $, cool here, 1.32.   Today the Swiss is 115, because economics is
moral. Loose screws and nuts get gutted.

Are you a supplier or a demander ? Its everything

Sorry, I'm not in the Egyptian market. Mine's the Pacific Rim.

Re: supplying demand

I'm pretty much done marketing for this year, unless some real opportunities arise, in which case I'll sell further out.

Re: supplying demand

Contrary to posts here by the uninformed,  Egyptis not a shrewd wheat buyer,
see last fall’s posts. The may have gotten worked up reading about there is no
wheat, and panicked. A producer wants to sell into panic buyers, earn from their
misguided emotions. Look at the WASDE world wheat.

Wilding spec length doesn’t consume wheat, they create un-value,
thus the excess price vs. S& D and the subsequent bear mkt. Add in roll
(carry) collections and it’s a real thing.

AA to AAA, Europe banks in trouble, so buy,   ahhhh,    silver , 4350, cannot even take out the
prior 2 week high, let alone the 52$ high in May, now its 40, hovering on 3
chair legs and    ,,,.

What is your role, buy along side last minute panic or help supply
them with what they think they need badly.

Corn and wheat are the new currency ? Be my guest.

Pro specs short a mkt at an excess price vs S&D, will be
glad to cover Pauloser, when the done mkting for now types want to liquidate.

Re: supplying demand

I'll write a note to remind me to revisit ths topic late winter or next spring. You've been almost the perfect fade for me. Maybe we can turn this into a run?

Just kidding Pritch. You have to understand, I'm a producer selling a product into the market. I'm neither a timer or a spec. I am naturally a long due to my being an opportunist. In these times I believe this to be the most productive position. I might change my outlook if global conditions change. Right now I'm comfortable and have been rewarded well.
