Re: today's picture
OK the rest of the story..
As many of you know the weather was not conclusive for harvest in my area.
As one of the duties of being drafted as a 'steamed advisor here on a.com
It seemed a perfect opportunity to have a meeting of the 'steams' and maybe blow off some steam.
Our own SW as a "co-steamer" and I had a meeting yesterday in the gondola car of the Cumbres and Tolitec RR. 64 miles of ride one way, it is the longest and highest steam train ride in the country. The above picture is looking down 600 feet into a canyon that is at the end of a tunnel through the mountain.
My third ride his first. Was a great day for a ride on the rails. Great noon meal was served...all you can eat. Great ride, highly recommend it to all.

Re: today's picture
Rode that train years ago. My uncle was with us and he worked on the railroad for years. The train rumbled and stopped and they told us that they had a minor problem. My uncle leaned over to dad and said their "minor problem was the sonofabich derailed". It was a looooong way down.
