It's from one of the bigger grain handlers and consolidators out here. They work with an independent terminal that I like very much. But in return they get a daily space for their blurbs. I'm used to it. But i get the idea from what I hear later down the line that they still have quite a bit of influence in the counryside because independent views in this regional market are few and far between.
On the other hand, this area has an independent streak too. The exporters work hard to get the last 15% of the grain into THEIR terminals. In the end it's a volume game out here. What you pull in increases your potential and denies somebody else the chance to run it through their house. We grow about the same amount every year, ending stocks are almost always pulled down - and this year it was a smaller crop than average. It will be another contest between tight hands and turnover in the terminals for the later big orders.
