I know I have been warning everyone of the impending hardships of the Ethanol industry.  But, I can't seem to find any report stating hard storage numbers.  What is the total storage capacity of all these plants?  Does anyone have a link?

Most of the auto makers don't wan't E15.  As of now, it will void the warranties apparently.

FWIW:  I called my local Ford dealer yesterday to ask if it was ok to put E15 in our 2012 Ford Focus SFE.  The mechanic was going to look into it more, but was not happy about it.  He said "there goes the mileage" and he was concerned even more so for people like him who owned older cars.

BTW I choose to fill up with E10 whenever possible so I'm not completely anti-ethanol.  It just seems that E15 is being pushed more than requested.

Does anyone have the export numbers for ethanol? I have read that Brazil's usage of ethanol is booming. I've also heard that Brazil's ethanol imports are much lower.  I've also read that the sugar price is so high that more of their cane crop is going to sugar and not ethanol, so they will need to import more.   Just what is going on with that?  I'm sure somebody knows the truth.

In round numbers, our local ethanol plant can hold about 2 weeks worth of corn, and 5 weeks worth of Ethanol.

Sorry for taking so long to get back, I don't get to live on here.  The highest posted corn price which was posted after the close on August 30, 2011 for harvest delivery was $7.55 as the close that day was $7.7525 and the basis was 20 under.  The same buyer as then today is posting a price after the close for $6.34 for nearby delivery.
