Re: well we had the video.......then the audio........now the word.......
MT - I will say it again, you do better with Marketing than politics; i have the utmost respect for your marketing skills, but politics, nope, none at all; could not disagree more.
you are absolutely right - we need a running thread for politics; if folks don't like what you say, well they don't have to read it.
You just can't be too serious about politics at this site; there ain't nothing we can about it anyways. Our marketing we can control, politics ain't worth losing sleep over.
Raise taxes and cut spending, it is not too hard. worked pretty well during the clinton years at least as far as raising taxes. W raising spending and cutting taxes - complete disaster.
The reality is that we have serious wealth concentration in this country because of our tax structure and that is a very bad thing. Lot of farmers work hard and are successful - but they had a lot ot work with. I never talk to a farmer that didn't have help to start the farm whether somebody co-signed or it was inherited. That opportunity is more than most folks get in life. So from my simple perspective, our tax structure needs to be fairer to those that make less. and we need more unions. don't critize a union if your not willing to work for 7.50/hour.
Romney makes me go wow - he hasn't said that he is going to do anything but cut taxes for the rich; that will really help this country alot.... Unless you are rich, and the exisiting system is working for you the way it is, i don't understand why anybody would vote republican.
anyways MT, keep up the great work with the Marketing, but I don't think you will have the followers on the politics.......you might have to go back to nat where everybody is rapid rightwing republican :).

Re: well we had the video.......then the audio........now the word.......
wow is right...do you even listen to what is said or just what the media wants you think.
Romney is not cutting taxes for the rich, rather he has had the guts to say that he will reduce deductions for the rich. That is NOT a tax cut it is a tax increase.
He wants to maintain the current tax rate structure that has been in place for 13 years now. And what does Obama want to do. Raise rates on the high end and not change their deductions and probably even increase them under the table, kind of like the Obamacare exemptions that seem to be for sale.
Net tax paid for the rich probably will go up more under Romney is my guess.

Re: well we had the video.......then the audio........now the word.......
If memory serves me correct.......in the fall of 2010 I was viewed as crazy..........especially when I said we would test all time highs with just a few bullish pushes.......at the time I think corn was 3 and 4......soya were 8 and 9 I think......
Sometimes the unpopular answer is the right one........

As far as you calling this market from 2010, anybody that has raised grain or livestock for the last 30 years could read the tea leaves that were presented. But it was comical reading your posts with a puffed out chest berating VR BUCK. Humility it is a word. check out the meaning........you lose credibility when you boast.......... I do like the dots between statements though...........//......//......

Re: well we had the video.......then the audio........now the word.......
my bad bullrider..........I thought the bears were serious.........apparently they were just bluffing, and saw it coming all along.........props to them, they are good actors, considering many are still fighting it today.........heck I am still bashed today on the other site cause I didnt know what I was talking about in 2010 or 2011 or 2012..........everything from we cant have a flood then a drought.........to we cant have a drought back to back.........to we will plant it ditch to ditch..........blah blah blah blah blah..........it gets old............three years in a row, and many still call it luck..............
CORN BID AT E-PLANT is 8.01 CASH...............its OCTOBER for goodness sakes...............yeah, everyone saw that coming........
posted 8/25/10 before most had a clue...........
"Late 2010 going into 2011 and even further if we start to pile on some bullish segments from multiple directions then we see $5.25-$5.50. In the outside chance we get a bolstered economy, weak corn and soy numbers, wheat issues, and then get into trouble with our corn and soy crop next year, we will see all time highs tested. I know a lot of people are saying that the 07' run is not like what we "might" be facing now. I agree, however in 07' the economy and oil took a pretty marginal commodity price and shoot it through the roof. I think we have more fundamental support with demand now and in the future which means a more stable price at a generally higher level. Take this an add another catalyst like increased demand with the economy, oil, or supply issues and here we go. If you look back to when commodity prices came back down to earth, most were saying here we go again, $2 corn and $5 soy. Well if you look at recent price action before the wheat run we have been well above that. That seems to indicate that while swings in price are real our overall range seems to be trending higher, and generally speaking only concrete fundamentals can drive this, not specs.
My opinion we already have two bullish segments, one is the corn number is going to be low and maybe shockingly low. Two is a half and half; the wheat issue is not done even if it stabilizes; wheat is buying acres along with cotton as we speak and the other is the economy, while we maybe treading water for awhile, I think we are just nervous with our surroundings which no longer contain unicorns and lollipops and people are just going to have to get used to it."
In fairness, I concede.............I need a break............too many irons in the fire..........
