why wheat?
Why are people buying wheat instead of corn? Cash corn in Fremont NE is 7.65 and wheat is 9.56 a $1.91 higher freight to wherever would be about the same. Maybe the corn just isn't available.

Re: why wheat?
I'm guessing $1.90 will ship corn a long ways. It will get it to the West Coast for export. However, if you can't use a unit train then costs for shipping soar. In that case local wheat might be cheaper or at least logistically doable. Where this is nevessary I'll guess stover and the like is being used to mix with grain.

Re: why wheat?
I'm under the impression there is very little to no feed grade wheat in the US. On the world stage i would guess the Aussies have sold most of their feed wheat to China from last year's crop. Britian has millions of tons of it and will import milling wheat, and India probably will have feed grade to sell to Asia.
