widespread 2 day freeze event for the much of the grain producing US!!!

This is going to definitely devastate our corn, soybean, and cucumber crop!!! Higher prices predicted (by me) for consumers!  Beans going to $18! ( i'll sell the rest of mine for $17)  It's 25 degrees in north iowa.

Cold here this morning....wind chill 8 degrees.....!   Must be three inches of new snow on the ground overnight.

ECI we got you beat in Ohio it's 61°. But the chill is heading our way tonight. Almost .2" so far. Looks like you guys out west sucked the bulk of the moisture out of this system before it got here. Upper 20's expected here tonight, mid 20s tomorrow night. Nutin in the ground except for a few gardens. Some still trying to get dry spread last week but its been too wet. Why do I always leave taxes to the last minute?

Consider this.

Friend in S C Kansas got two inches of snow on wheat turning blue from dryness. 90* on Sat. 30* now. He's afraid if he walks on the ground he could start a dust bowl.

He also indicated neighbors were giving up on dryland corn this year.
