FAA Will Not Meet UAS Integration Deadlines
The FAA admits it will fail to meet an August 2014 objective to integrate "small UAS" into the national airspace system (NAS). These are the kinds of devices most likely to be used by farmers in their fields.
The FAA is unlikely to effect integration of civil UAS by September 2015 as was prescribed. They hope to get the small UAS rules out by that date.
Here is the Office of Inspector General FAA report on it's own agency.
