No External Loads on UA
Amazon is up in arms because the FAA says no external loads on unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). As a farmer who may use unmanned aircraft (UA), do you have any thoughts on external loads?
The UAS the FAA will permit will weigh not more than 55 pounds total. It's not as if you can lift a block of mineral with a UA that weights less thnan the block, so you won't be flying the salt block out to the pasture.
What else do you see as a use for an external load on a UA?
Remember, 55 pounds total for the whole package, load and all.
