ag leader on trac 3 fine tuning for planting
i have a JD 4650 for planting with ag leader on trac 3 for planting. have a question for . new installed last fall for amonia work and now for planting Seemed to work well for corn but wonder about fine tuning . sometines it will wander maybe 8 - 12 inches to the right and then same back to the left and cannot get steering response to slow down. talked to rep and he told me some adjustments but no changes.anyone have any ideas to help . In corn it seemed to leave a perfect mark when i used the markers but the rows woiuld not be straight like the neighors. i am not using rtk but the next level

Try adjusting your cross track setting. If that doesn't help, go in to the guidance and steering tab, then the wrench next to the Ontrac 3, then adjust steering button, then look for heading gain. Adjust your heading gain (most likely up) and see if that will help any. Ontrac 3 is great and very accurate, however I will say, if your tractor has much play in the gearbox (as 4650's can sometimes have) it takes a lot of adjusting to get it right.
