Class Project Questionaire

Hi ladies!

I am currently working on a Field Research Project for my ENG101 class. I am needing some responses to these questions in order to help answer my research question! I am still trying to develop my research question since it has to be related to language (not languages from different countries) in some way.

I am still editing my research question, but here is my current one:

In the agriculture field, does the language barrier and gender gap prevent the empowerment of women?

Here are my questions to help answer my research question:

Do you think there is a gender gap in the agriculture field?

Is there a language barrier for women in the agriculture field?

Is there discrimination of gender within the agriculture field?

Is there a difference in language between men and women in the agriculture field? What are some examples, phrases, or words?

Do you, yourself, manage or run a farm or business in the agriculture field? If not, are there barriers preventing this?

Do you think there is a gender gap in the agriculture field? YES, although there are more women making their way into the agriculture field.

Is there a language barrier for women in the agriculture field? YES.

Is there discrimination of gender within the agriculture field? YES. 

Is there a difference in language between men and women in the agriculture field? What are some examples, phrases, or words?  YES. When it comes to breeding/repro aspects. Women also tend to talk more scientifically and appropriately when it comes to terms. Men prefer to do business with men and ignore the women who run the farm or business, they prefer to talk to their husbands.

Do you, yourself, manage or run a farm or business in the agriculture field? If not, are there barriers preventing this? YES, I run a rabbitry and horse training business.

I'll send you my daughter's email, she owns and runs a million dollar per year vegetable farm. She should be able to answer your questions better than I can.
