so their farm hands don't work on an empty stomach?
I am thinking of Auntie Em, the farmer's wife, in Dorothy and Toto.
Do American cowboys still pack corn dodgers on long drives?
Are apple fritters still common among country folks?
There has been a long-time connection in American rural living with small informal cakes fried in fat. We all know how Southerners love their hush puppies to boot.
