Just make sure the result fits your taste, and Todd's. Mike's sister had a decorator do their whole house, almost forty years ago. It was beautiful, and great quality...then, with only two older people in it, what wouldn't last? She has changed virtually nothing, except the television, in four decades!
I had to laugh when she visited Jenna's house last year...she kept remarking on how creative everything was...how she wished she " could do that!" It is a mishmash of old pieces we gave Jenna, her wild paint choices, a few vintage finds I made at friend's shop, etc.
Her comments were way beyond just being polite. I noticed her next couple of times we talked, saying she needs to change some pretty significant stuff at their place.
I guess when you spend decorator-level dollars, you live with it a LOOONNNGGG time! Make sure your friend knows your budget.
