Q&A: What song is stuck in your head today?

Easy peasy! I just previewed kid Rock's video on FB...his new album, " First a Kiss" releases in Fenruary. The titke track is a treasure...his evolution from earlier, rank-lyrics and raw topics has astounded me.

This is a classic rock look back at being young and in love, and an anthem to Americana. I played it while making the bed, where I sleep with my first love. I posted it as a fresh link on my page there, so see if you like it, too!

Other than that, the theme song to " Caillou", which is Winn's favorite TV show right now, is about as banal as Barney's banal " I love you, you love me....", but my little buddy loves it, so we see it every time he's here!

What song is stuck in your head this morning? Mine is " First Kiss"...thank you, Kid Rock!

Re: Q&A: What song is stuck in your head today?

for some reason, totally unknown as I just came back in the house from chores,  Zac Brown's " Walking Away"?  you know "falling in love while she's walking away" is going through my head

Really odd because I haven't listened to any music today and rarely does a tune just happen in my head.

I did see a quiz about old old rock songs on FB this morning.  So why not one of those tunes?  Why Zac Brown?

Re: Q&A: What song is stuck in your head today?

Think the lyrics all the way through...I often find a song is saying something that is in my heart at a given moment. The one I posted about was just right for me today...very nostalgic, sentimental, about Mike and our early years, right now.

We are going through a lot of emotional issues in our lives...moving that tardy grazing tenant off the home place, getting ready to move our herd up there this spring. A new chapter opening, on the scene of a much older story.

The main work of restoring the houses is done, and things seem settled, so it is a turning point, in a lot of ways. I am turning to the matter of tweaking small issues now, at home and in our businesses.

That song just made me both smile and cry...so, you know it's a good one!

That Taylor Swift song "All to Well"  and only the lost in translation part thanks to a commercial.

Re: Q&A: What song is stuck in your head today?

Royals by Lorde. Thanks to the ad for Grammys.  Don't listen to that type of station.  Actually I don't listen to much but often talk stations or soothing easy listening.  Sometimes Christian radio.  I often just listen to NOTHING in the house.  Get lambasted with TV enough when DH is in.

When I pick up the kids we listen to the Disney channel or oldest grandaughter (13) surfs but HAPPY by Pherel Wms. is on often & we crank it up on the way to school.  Oldest kids need the thought as are not happy to be going to school.

Brings up another point.  Can you sing the lyrics to the fast songs?  Scary, but I can't.  I try.  But even the 6 yr. old can belt them all out.  As I said, scary that my mind doesn't click that fast.  Of course, they listen all the time.

Re: Q&A: What song is stuck in your head today?

Lyrics...never could! Still don't know words to a lot of classics.

I have become such a Kid Rock fan...Jenna introduced me to him way back. He is kind of wild, but makes a lot of very good observations about parenting and patriotism.

I am sitting out a deluge in the driveway, with Winn passed out in his car seat on the way home from preschool. Completely peaceful.

Yes, this topic occupies me, too. Why do we periodically have the same tune playing in our heads?

Re: Q&A: What song is stuck in your head today?

I don't know about anyone, but I often fall for a song that suits my mood at the moment. I listen to music almost twenty-four hours a day. And I have to look for new sources. Recently a friend advised me to visit mp3-juices.mymp3.red. I want to find something new to add to my song luggage. And if the song gets in the mood, it will be on my tongue for a long time. Sometimes my wife laughs at me, saying that you can tell my mood by the song I hum. I notice it myself. But it doesn't upset me.
