Re: Ragged off and rambling....

So we all agree... Men are Blind.   Mine calls me in to find stuff all the time.  Right now I'm suppose to find his favorite pry bar.  Last time he saw it was in at the Old Finishing Building while replacing the curtains.    He claims it is his eyes/glasses.

Re: Ragged off and rambling....

I didn't like her when she disrespected the national Anthem, but Roseanne Barr had one line in her early standup career appearances that still resounds in my mind at times like that: Men think that the uterus is some sort of a homing device.

No truer words were ever spoken.

As for your prybar, I worry about it finding its way in to the pit.  Slatted floors are great for manure management, but they are H on a toolset.

Re: Ragged off and rambling....

Typical engineer...never HIS fault!

I think you are right about the literal and visual configuration of the average male mind.  Men are very visual as a rule.

When my brain/learning style testing came back in nursing school, I turned out to be smakcl in tthe middle of virtually every category...which is, I suppose, what explains why I like my cooking utensils and supplies hung up, like you see wrenches in a garage, innstead of hidden in drawers.  So, I do understand why he is the way he is; that still doesn't make me like a mouse magnet in my house.

There is a compromise in the two mindsets...for me, that is putting things in transparent boxes and labeling them clearly.  He will look at the labels, but like Suey's husband, has to put on his glasses to read them.

Re: Lost my new book entitled "Organize Now!"

Perfect irony!

My entire first post was meant to be a poke at the wy thigns go at my house, too.  In typical fashion, every woman got that; but, the one male poster missed it, and made a derogatory stab at me, suggesting I should be drugged into submission.

That is the basic problem with male/female relationships, when and where there is one.  We are given an impossible task (keeping up with a man and his s*&t), and are then derided and deemed broken, when we rankle under the weight of the chore.

Hope your book works.  This is one reason I am putting as many new ones as possible this year in the Kindle instead.

Re: Ragged off and rambling....

I am with you whole-heartedly. Training men is harder than breaking cattle to show. It's just too bad that Mike has to infilitrate "your area" with his methods.
