Time to get ahead of Japanese Beetles
Bayer has a tree and shrub product that is well regarded by land grant universities. It offeres some protection against Japanese beetles that eat Linden trees, roses and the like. It may help protect agains Emerald Ash Borer.

Iowa State has some comments. Note. This may or may not be harmful to bees. Read all the labels.
Beware - there are a lot of Bayer Advnaced XXX YYY ZZZ that are all different. Don't grab a jug off the shelf without looking carefully to see what it is to be applied to.
