Last night, Cale shot a skunk in the chicken house, came in and then we (boys and I, Jerry is working) all got ready to go to church. They went to the pick up and as I gathered up my stuff and stepped out the back door I heard a gun shot, very close and not a whimpy one either. My first thought was "did the boys find another skunk, second thought, we've had a gun "accident", third thought was "WERE ARE MY BOYS?"...all these thoughts in a second or two. I ran to the pu and found them, just fine reading an article out of the rural electric paper, didn't hear a thing. So while being extremely rattled, I came back into the house to see just what had happened, no holes in the top of the gun cabinet, nobody in my house, I looked out the kitchen window and saw a vehicle going north, already 3/4 mile up the road. So, long story short, we must have had a drive by....we're the only house on this mile of road. I called the county and they came out. Who knows??
