We are setting up a new water tank (giant tire tank) at Russell Farm, killing gophers and then tonight going to the movies in Carnegie Oklahoma!

Re: What are you doing today?
I have started getting my records together for the accountant but I think I should be out in the sunshine. I also made my DH's favorite crock pot tapioca and a new recipe for Hungarian Stew.

Re: What are you doing today?
Drove my mom to a shower in the QCities today. Navigator on my new van directed me into the HyVee parking lot! LOL So much for technology. All the while I'm trying to listen to the blasted thing & straighten myself out my mom was chirping about how it was all wrong. Although she didn't have a clue where we SHOULD be! Oh my!
Straightened up her bookwork when we got back and now dinner to get ready & chores after.
I suggested DH's two cousins & I should go to see his (their) great aunt in the nursing home who's 101 & soon to be 102 yrs old. She's still chipper & "with it". Amazing. She's always in good humor with me (we've always been close); perhaps not w/her own daughter. Such is the case here too. Anyway, after driving 2 hrs today looks like I'll be going 1 1/2 one way tomorrow to see her. For some reason she's really been on my mind so I'm sure we'll be glad we went.

Re: What are you doing today?
First took time to go to the Bank. Just say definitely needed to go. Visited the in-laws while in town. Brought home KFC for lunch and supper. Then went out and tried the soaker lines in the finishing building. Must have had quite a bit of "gunk" in the lines because DH must have cleaned out several of the nozzles more than once. So they've been run once will run several more times before powerwasher shows up on Tuesday.
Now will watch football and get my Sunday School lesson ready for tomorrow.

Re: What are you doing today?
Nothing as cool as shooting gophers, I assure you.
I had sat down last night, after I spent four hours moving things around in the store yesterday, and sketched out how the shop space needed to be arrranged. Refined the sketch a couple of times, as I realized some shelves could be stacked, and set back to back, for way more storage then just lining the walls with them.
SIL is supposed to get the woodstove going up there this week for heat, so I had to allow clearances for that. Things like that go on in my mind in my sleep, too, so I re-did some parts of the sketch this morning. Then, headed to Lowe's for plumbing parts for the cleaning/utility closet,. and a pine door to stain for son to make a Dutch door for it next week. There were a number of different size screws and such, plus two bits of paint, to pick and buy, too.
Got all that loaded in the truck, and browsed Staples for a new ugly orange binder and monthly index set, printer cartridges, etc. I ought to stop feeding that trifling printer. since it still hadn't printed my check from yesterday, and had hung up on Mike's pig schedule tor the week, too.
I sat and struggled with it for about thrity minutes when I got home, and finally got it to print. It promptly jammed the paper, then went on strike again. I shut the office door, and went to the shop to actually get something done.
Mike made ribs and corn on the cob for our supper, and we had some good wine to go with them. Probably tasted better than gopher meat, though!

Re: What are you doing today?
I was sick for an hour or so during last night so I slept in really late for me. Got up and felt fine. Talked to my two girls on the phone for quite a while. Caught up with them. Youngest DD is just finishing her first trimester of her first pregnancy and is still having a lot of nausea. Has lost 6 pounds. Oldest DD is training for a spring marathon.
Since it was so warm and sunny out I decided to take down all the Christmas decorations and tree and haul them out to the storage shelves in the barn. I am SOOO glad to have that done and not have to do it on a windy and cold day.
Helped Ed make a pot of chili to enjoy during the football game. Ordered a second recliner chair to match the one I bought in November. Did laundry and worked on my rug. Went to 5 PM Mass. Enjoying relaxing and reading tonight. Watching football.

Re: What are you doing today?
Well the day is over, but drove 1 1/2 hours to look for a new couch, did not find one, so told DH to get the one he and DS liked in town...it comes tues along with a matching chair...then continued to drive even further to pick up 26 baby chicks for DD to show this year in 4h...came home...2 hour drive...went to church, out to eat and now home worrying about my other 2 kids being out and hoping they stay safe and make right choices.

Re: What are you doing today?
We had a family meeting this morning to go over the family trust stuff...sucks as usual, somebody always leaves mad. This afternoon, I worked outside taking some of the dead stuff off the flowerbeds. Just the tall stuff, not the leaves over the ground. Some people clean em bare, but I never do. Picked up the rotten apples that laid on the ground yet. Also helped my son work on my cupola. Can' wait to get it out in the yard and see if from my kitchen window every day! He was putting a better foundation on the bottom of it so it will stand in our nasty midwest winds. I got chilled about 5 and came in the house, took a long time to get warmed up. Did some book work and should really go to bed!

I would love to see a picture of your cupola when you get it set up your garden. We took two from an old hog building but they were pretty shot up, lol
