men's hair styles

Kay's comment on Mike's hair & another incidence made me take note this week.  There are so many young fellas shaving their heads nowdays.  Can't say I understand doing this if you have a full head of hair; maybe for those that are half bald or need to for work/sport.  When I took my FIL for his first radiation treatment I ran into a former teacher of mine.  He lost most of his hair at an early age & I don't really remember him wearing a hat a lot.  He was there for treatment for skin cancer in his head & side of his face.  He's had two deep places operated on & one didn't heal & caused a big problem for quite a long time.  Now they are treating the side of his face.  Wonder how many of these shavers are using sun screen & wearing hats.

Re: men's hair styles

Michael Jordan was the first bald-headed celebrity I remember in recent years.  Yup Bryner from a long time ago, and Telly Savalas in the seventies, I suppose.  It never caught on until maybe five years ago.

I've seen stories about guys and even girls shaving their heads on bets, or in support of friends who lost theirs in chemo.  Even with a full head of long hair, Mike usually wears a doo-rag over his head year-round.  I push sunscreen here, too.

Some men look better with no hair than with the hair they'd have if theirs was not shaved off.  I like either long hair pulled back neatly, as Mike does, or the bald look, but not too many styles in between.   Just a personal preference....

Re: men's hair styles

Last summer, my little guys all got mohawks, which looked super cute. It also made it really easy for me to quickly locate them at the swimming pool, LOL! Of course I sunblocked the heck out of their heads.

Their hair is "normal" for the winter, but they're already looking forward to warm weather so they can get their mohawks back.
