sick grand
Looks like I'm getting my taxes done just in time to help out. My grandson (8) who has had strepp throat, is on his 2nd round of medicine and was just diagnosed with mono. Not real bad but his throat is still swollen, white spots on it big time, (sorry if you're squeamish) and running a low grade fever. This 2nd medicine is zithromax which you start out strong & decreases daily. Poor little guy is a skinny minny anyway and hasn't been eating much w/sore throat. They're making milk shakes w/nutional supplements. Hope he gets on the mend soon. He missed all of last week of school & probably should be out this week also.

Re: sick grand
Hope he mends quickly and completely. Good for the family that you are there to be his caring grandma. I think a child always remembers who was there for him when he was feeling puny.
Our kids still talk about their rare sick days, which were spent with Mike's mom. They were fed Gran's soup, did puzzles, and played board games...until her soaps came on. They had to lay low and 'rest' then!
Let us know how he's doing.

Re: sick grand
Sorry to hear about your GS. Those days are tough. freeze some kool aid in dixie cups. When my son was little and at home sick, I let him cut pictures out of farm magazines and make a collage for his room. That kept him busy for awhile and I think he still has some of those in his room.
